I'm staying until the last, but I've already, since late July started up on MeWe. Using the same user name as is here and my astronaut logo. I've got to get all my pictures and other stuff saved. Not going to lose my friends if I can help it.
Im on Flickr, Cake and Pluspora to experiment and see for myself what suits, IMO Pluspora is ok for some but not for me as its not really for photography, You cant edit your comments like or even leave an emoji ?, Cake is very similar to G+ and is good for photography as is Flickr although i find Flickr is difficult to navigate, I tried MeWe about a couple of years ago and didn't like it much but it may be better now?
Eduardo Feliciano Not sure about a migration tool. I'll find out though. I've only been there a bit over 2 months now. and migration from here wasn't a thought for me until now.
Right now, i'm on pluspora and diaspora. Checking out MeWe later today. Im seeing about a 50/50 split between pluspora and MeWe with my peeps right now. May end up on both just to keep up with folks. As for G+, I'm staying here till they turn out the the lights, close the door and lock it behind me.
In the last couple of days I've signed into both pluspora and mewe.. I can say that I prefer both to facebook.. but that's no indication of satisfaction .. I get more pleasure out of a good sit on the throne than facebooking.. The only thing I'm sure about is that google couldn't give a shit..
I did see a post somewhere stating that G+ will remain for G-Suite users.. $5 a month, to integrate gmail, docs etc etc.. You know, all the stuff we've used for free for years. Makes me wonder what they'll kill off next to be honest.. Free Gmail? I've had that since beta days and and I'm not sure without checking, how many gmail accounts I even have.. (is that greedy?) Photos? Will they kill that? I have no idea how many thousand pics I have on there.. Calendar? I use that and google docs for work records.. they going to go? Problem is, nobody can say never, after all, this place is going to pay per view.. go figure.
I guess it's all about the mighty dollar.
