Looking at blockchain based alternatives, I personally think these currently are the most promising options. Personally I'dd go for steemit or busy due to the platforms using a specificaly content geared blockchain that has features planned that should make making the platform more G+ like easy to implement,, but there might be other considerations. What blockchain based alternative would you prefer to migrate to?
[edit: The group's owner asked me to disable comments, my apologies for the unfortunate concequence that it isn't longer possible to elaborate on "Other"]

  1. These are the most promising to you.

I want to reinforce that this is your opinion and not an endorsement. I have currently attempted to avoid any voting in this group because I see it as counter to the first goal, information gathering.

Polls are for making conclusions and this poll, in particular, will be self-evident in the end.

Anyone participating in this poll, please be aware of this.

  2. Think Other' votes leading reflects what you say John Lewis , hope some of the Other voters will elaborate on what alternatives they think most promising. Personaly I would rather follow the crowd than my own personal preferences and as such I think pols are highly valuable.

  3. Anything that uses the words "blockchain" in the description needs to be run away from as quickly as possible. If blockchain is the answer, the question is axiomatically wrong.

  4. Rob Masters Interesting view. To me, no social platform is free of capriciousness, but blockchain capriciousness is less harmfull than corporate capriciousness. No single entity could sink a 10 milion user blockchain the way Google is doing now with G+. As such I feel that whatever we migrate to should in fact be blockchain based and not some other wanabe google or wanabe facebook. Hope I'm making sense enough for you to tell me where my line of thought goes wrong.

  5. Rob Meijer Blockchains are nice, but people still have to host them (as a community) and they can die. They just die from atrophy rather than the way Google+ is going.

Reference any dead crypto currency for details.

  6. Honestly I don't think there is one answer because people use G+ in many ways

  7. Yesterday I found steempeak.com - SteemPeak and it might replace Busy as it has favourites which I missed on busy.

  8. Ethan Boyle But MeWe us a closed walled garden owned by a single corporation.

The total opposite of a blockchain based social media network.

    They cater to different audiences.

  9. Rob Masters You sound like someone who doesn't know what a blockchain is.

  10. I need this thread to stop any and all ad hominem and debate. I will not hesitate to remove this poll and block participants in anything I do not deem constructive. If you are singling out someone for any reason, be careful what you are saying.

NOTE:This is the only warning I'm giving.

  11. John Lewis You need the thread to stop ad hominem "and debate"? If debate is a problem I'll disable comments if you need me to, as its better than the poll being deleted.

  13. Rob Meijer Disable comments if you want the poll. I'm about to delete the thread otherwise.
