  1. So I posted to "help and support" about the blocking not working and it is "waiting on moderation"

  2. FYI - here's the conversation that resulted from my "help and support" post. So basically, if you block a user on Minds, you only block them from @'ing you or I guess send messages direct to you. You will still see their posts. And as I say in this interaction, the majority of boosted posts are hate filled alt-right bullshit. That would be fine if I CHOSE to see it, but I wouldn't even if I were able.

...re: the OP, I certainly agree, that if blocking does not prevent the blocked from still seeing your posts, and making indirect negative comments about you and what you say, and to others you are connected with there, then what is the point?

  5. Pat Johnston Well, no. Not yet.

So far I have some counts both for and against MeWe. The CEO has some views that often doesn't bode well, but on the other hand it is in the implementation that everything happens. A lack of public posts (at the moment) makes it hard to gauge the environment.

Diaspora of course is instance-related and it is possible to block instances... so, while an instance might be specifically and completely Nazi, it can be isolated and then have no impact on the rest.

Downside is a direct monetary cost.
