I think I found my place with Minds.com. Its a place made for monetizing your readers, but you don't have to do that.
Its got a bit of the early G+ feel, without the circles sadly.
You should check it out, its actually pretty well put together.. and while its still small, it doesn't feel clunky or beta-y at all.

    I'm concerned about two things about it:

    1. the "blockchain" bullshit;
    2. several known Russia trolls have recently hyped it.

    (1) tells me that it's designed by bullshit artists. (2) tells me its wider adoption somehow benefits Russia's interests at the expense of the Western societies' values. Both are quite negative things for a software project, and suggest approaching one with caution.

    I was reading about Minds. It says that when you block someone.. they can still see your posts. They can't comment, but they can still vote you up or down.. only you won't see their votes.
    Sounds like a potential weapon.

    Yeah - it's new - it's rough - it's full of magas and conspiracy theorists - but it's also rustic, exciting, style and technology is nice, has this flair of new frontiers... - i like it - build a home, build up your neighborhood - yeah =)... - i like it so far.

    As a female that is done with MAGA and people all about porn.. they can do whatever they want as long as I can click a button and make them disappear from my space.. not being able to disappear from stalker eyes is kind of a deal breaker. In fact.. I need to check into this area on the other apps I've been looking at.

    J Stone I am still learning it myself, but like Linda said, it has some pretty conservative nutters on it. The percentage of that will drop as people migrate.
    It is easy to share videos and links. Its similar to both G+ and FB in its implementation.

    J Stone I haven't seen yet. I am hoping to speak with the developers.. if that's even possible, about blocking entire hashtags and groups. Maybe even block all the people in that group..
