With the impending demise of Google+ I've been looking at various alternative platforms and have opened accounts at several (listed below). I shan't enumerate all of my criteria here, but my preference is for a free/libre open (non-corporate) unenclosable (e.g., federated) space, implemented on a technology stack that I can happily embrace if I am ever to run my own instance. Most importantly, it needs to be lagely populated by the kinds of people with whom I want to associate, ideally including many of my G+ contacts.

ReplyDeleteJames Brown, I've listed my MeWe account as a contact point (for now, anyways) but it's not high on my list of preferred places where I'd want to spend any significant time or energy.
