Would like to suggest Discord.
Although it focuses on gaming, it is a very good place for other type of communities.
A server where you can create text and voice channels for everyone.
(Useless to say that I am very distraught that Google Plus is shutting down...)

Depends on how intertwined it is with Discordians. There's one Discordian I am still Very Pissed Off At, despite the years since she ragequit scrubgenius.
ReplyDelete(This is probably similar to checking their #subgenius linkages before deciding to install Slack, but still ...)
Discord is chat and not social media like G+. No post structure, no discussion strings.
ReplyDeleteDiscord is a communications platform with a partially-integrated social network. It's not so much a replacement for G+ as it is a good place to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteThere's a good chance that the Discord administrators will adapt the site to allow post strings and structures...they're going to have an influx of several million people over the next 10 months, as most folks from Google+ seem to be favouring a move to Discord above any other sites! They'd be fools not to cater for that!
ReplyDeleteDiscord is good, but there's 8mb pic restriction and max 200 words per message
ReplyDeleteUzy It's a 2000-character limit, not 200 word.
ReplyDeleteCydramech Zaharak I realized that, but didn't remember where was the post from
ReplyDeleteDiscord is only so good as any chat program like skype was for a community, honestly.
