I heard g+ was ending when they shut down what are they going to come out with to replace it may be a lite version of Google plus Do you think? Or something else
Nothing.
ReplyDeleteThere is no evidence that there are any plans for a consumer replacement of any scope.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Google wants to get out of social networking. For one thing, there's no money in it.
ReplyDeleteThomas Bindewald That’s not what was said. Vet your rumors before posting them.

According to the project leader, it looks like Hangouts Classic is going away and users will be migrated to Chat (text) and Meet (video).
ReplyDeleteThomas Bindewald Hahaha. Yeah. Same here.
ReplyDeleteLinda Tewes “no decision made on when” and “hangouts users will be upgraded to” some products which don’t exist yet and presumably will suck even worse than Hangouts already does (or like the future of g+ be corporate-only) is hardly a ringing commitment to the future of Hangouts.
ReplyDeletePhillip Landmeier Now I'm also curious about the strategy for Allo and Duo because those are also Google's text and video apps. I also want to know how Voice fits in going forward. I should ask in my own post soon.
ReplyDeleteMichael Rainey Yeah, Voice is important to me, too, but I think Voice is safe. I've not tried Allo, but I've heard good things and it has 10 million downloads with good ratings.
ReplyDeleteAt least there's plenty of time to figure this out.
Allo and Duo are failures and Will be killed soon. I thought I heard that Voice is on life support as well, haven’t they already reduced functionality and availability significantly?
