They officially dropped the "Don't be Evil" motto last year, and removed it from all external and internal documents, sites, etc.
ReplyDeleteBefore last year. IMHO it was over when Larry Google did everything he could (and for some too much) to sell and build his baby non-Facebook, a fun place, with treats for photographers, places and ways to "hang out", and that good old-fashioned "don't be evil". Once the YouTube/Branding etc. backlash in corporate-ville got folded into the "benign neglect" -- well, Larry went missing and Google went evil for fun and profit, from A to Z. That's how I see it. :))
ReplyDeleteAnd sorry to see a Sadface from a Zohan, filtered out; I get why one might be sad, and also why G+ really needs robot filters (not suicide bombs) these days. Google is being evil here, in methodically wiping all.... :(
