I was just looking at the way mewe is growing so rapidly, and to some extent it reminded me of G+ in the early days. Google Plus stopped its growth when they stopped the ability to share circles. As frustrating as it was that there were a lot of spammers who shared circles, the bottom line was that we grew quickly as a result. I hope someone can convince mewe to add that ability."

  4. They are following a lot of Plousser's requests, like the Public posts now, and soon, ability to link a share to original post.
Collections are debated, they have "Pages", that people are supposed to be paying for, still unclear.

  7. Tessa Schlesinger they broke the day the API's turned off. I still get community notifications and I've had one mention notification but that seems to be it now ☹️

  8. Christian Nalletamby I've made my own community that only I can share on, which is pretty much the same as a collection.

  9. Tessa Schlesinger My notifications quit about 10 hours ago, on my Android app and browser. Nothing. Zip. Maybe they're chasing us away, running us off. "Get off my lawn!!!"

  10. Notifications still come by e-mail for google plus.

  11. A lot of us went to diaspora (pluspora etc) and friendica - mewe seems to have a far right loon problem.
Other folks .moved to Reddit, mastadon etc. Anyway G+ is dead. You arrived as everything is being dismantled!

  12. MeWe already lets you recommend multiple people to others, which works much like circle sharing did. You just can’t pre-set a defined group like a circle.

  13. Miss the ability to flexibly share privately (and follow publicly) to customized Circles the most.

  14. Alan Cox I've been on mewe three months and I have not met a single right wing loon. Progressive politics, on the other hand, is strong. Mewe is the best option for Plussers. It's fantastic.

  15. Tessa Schlesinger Same here, I met only one racist but the block function works pretty good.

  16. Tessa Schlesinger Joined MeWe (and Minds) 1 year ago, I can assure you, full of Ultra right, conspiracy theories, what the CEO calls "alternative Medicine" (or like), and other religious missionaries.

    Rarely used it.
    Until the October G+ invasion...

I do NOT recommend using their search engine (yet) to find good groups, but to ask friends if they know any.
Maybe we can revive some of the (3?) G+ expat groups there, might finally be useful.

  17. Chris Wiley Site not good. Site dead. Dead.

  18. Tessa Schlesinger Same here. If you go searching in the wild, be careful what you search for because you'll find it. The same is true on G+.

I'm sure this same conversation occurs in the nazi groups. Don't go searching, you'll run into those liberal Google weirdos, who will poison your mind. Lmao.
