Profile Type

There are two types of profiles available - Persons and Pages.

For individuals who post about lots of different things, please use the "Persons" classification.

If you intend posting about your books/blogs/websites etc [i.e. promoting your selves etc] use "Pages" when registering.

Porn

What is classified as "porn"? Images showing two people having intercourse and showing the private bits between the legs. Please note that the site is open to anyone aged 13 and above. If you intend to post images that show partial nudity, please create a group and use the restricted type. If in doubt, message me. The only exception to this is art work, so showing ancient Greek or Roman statues is fine.

Spam and hate speech

Features, Privacy etc

1. You can create personal blogs, groups, polls, keep notes on others which only you can see [this will be handy if you share common interests or need a reminder about something], uploading of photos up to 16 MBs, organise events, and more

2. Not available right now is video uploading [something you have on your laptop/PC or mobile] but you can share Youtube videos etc.

3. Mobile apps ... coming shortly. Will advise when they are up and running for Android and Apple.

4. Your data. You own your profile details and the content you post. We do not monetise or share anything you post. You can download what you share and delete your profile and its content any time you like. We are compliant with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR]. 5. When you join, I will automatically become your first "friend".

6. The site is still being fine tuned, so if you find something that doesn't seem "right" or have suggestions for improvements, please add it to "my topics" that I have. https://youme.social/topics/view/2/improvements-to-youme-social

7. Stream - the default set up is "friends and me" which will show what you and your friends have shared. You can toggle to the full stream to see everything by clicking "everyone".

8. Mentioning someone. On Google+ you add the + sign in front of their name. On YouMe Social, its the @ symbol.

9. Private messages - the site has its own private messaging service which is on the top right of the screen. Similar to Facebook.

10. Friend limit is set at 5,000

11. Profile and profile background - to change, simply go to your profile. It works the same as Google+ You can also change your profile visibility by clicking your profile's cogwheel and choose between everyone, friends only and only you.

12. Someone violating the rules or you think its not appropriate? Message me the details and will look into it.

13. External advertisements - we don't run external advertising. If this ever changes, we will advise everyone in advance.

Finally, a thank you to those that have tested it and provided feedback. Have tried to keep the interface clean and easy to use. There are more features to come down the track and will advise when launched.
